The 29th round in Serie A went by with both Juventus and Napoli winning 1-0 and Roma doing their best to keep up with the top two.

Behind them, Inter overtook Fiorentina to take fourth place, while at the bottom a crucial win for Genoa takes the Rossoblu out of trouble with Frosinone losing to Carpi and Palermo being beaten by the Partenopei.

Our Team of the Week will see a 4-3-3 formation deployed.

Do you agree with our selection? Have your say in the comments below!

Pierluigi Gollini – Hellas Verona

They will struggle to stay up, but credit must be given to Verona who managed to draw in Florence thanks to an overall solid performance and to some vital saves by their keeper, including a miraculous stop on Nikola Kalinic in stoppage time.

Cristian Ansaldi – Genoa (2 Team of the Week appearances)

The development of this player is evident, as he runs up and down on the flank without ever being tired. Decisive against Torino as he is brought down in the Granata box for Cerci to then score the resulting penalty.

TOTW GW29Kostas Manolas – Roma (4 apps)

A wall against Udinese, stopping anyone and anything coming his way, absolutely annihilating Cyril Thereau.

Miranda – Inter (6 apps)

The usual strength in defending and elegance when on the ball to be the first man to start Inter’s play. Has a role in D’Ambrosio’s decisive goal too.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – Inter

After receiving a lot of criticism he finds the best way to reply: assist for Perisic’s 1-0 and then does it himself and scores the second.

Alessandro Florenzi – Roma (5 apps)

Deployed in defence once again, it never is a problem for Florenzi to adapt and then another thing that happens often: wonderful goals, and decisive. He does it again in Udine and gives Roma the three points.

Claudio Marchisio – Juventus

He might not be Andrea Pirlo, but he can still dictate the game from deep like very few others in the league. He uses all his intelligence against Sassuolo to orchestrate Juve’s game.

Ivan Perisic – Inter (2 apps)

The ex-Wolfsburg winger is starting to make a difference for the Nerazzurri. Dribbles, chances created, some dangerous shots and then being at the right place at the right time to make it 1-0 with an easy header.

Alessio Cerci – Genoa

Yes, he scored two penalties, but he makes it look easier than it is and they still count. Does his job in putting the Torino defence under pressure and helping Genoa to the three points.

Miroslav Klose – Lazio

Where was the lethal striker we all knew? Klose is back, all in one go, scoring a brace that gives Lazio a win after three weeks and lifting the morale of the Biancocelesti.

Ciro Immobile – Torino (2 apps)

“Hello, Mr. Conte? Ciro Immobile is back.” This is the message you get by watching the second goal against Genoa. Absolute quality, and his second of the day. Not his fault if the rest of the team don’t keep it up and Torino lose.
