Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa feels that January recruit Mauro Zarate causes chaos that can either hinder or help his side.
La Viola welcome Hellas Verona to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday afternoon looking to flush last weekend’s ignominious 4-1 defeat at Roma out of their system.
“We humans are creatures of habit: to change them, you have to propose other habits with some persistence and this needs time,” Sousa told reporters.
“Zarate creates a lot of chaos, but that provides you with so many emotions that can give more happiness than sadness.”
Fiorentina have surrendered third place to Roma in recent weeks, though Sousa refused to entertain the notion that it is easier to chase Champions League football than to be in control of it.
“Psychologically we have grown so much, we came back to first place for the first time in many years, we have raised the expectations of all without hiding”, he added.
“Now we have to maintain this status for improvement and personality: we have to be focused to win games.”
