Torino coach Giampiero Ventura couldn’t hide his disappointment after his side failed to defeat Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin on Sunday afternoon after the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

A first half goal by Andrea Belotti gave the home side the lead, and after failing to increase their advantage following a penalty miss by Ciro Immobile soon after, the Biancocelesti duly equalised late on with a Lucas Biglia spot kick to share the points.

“There is huge disappointment,” Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.

“We deserved the goal in the first half and in the second half, but it’s clear we must improve.

“On the positive side, it is that since the defeat to AC Milan last week we show a lot of spirit today and need to continue on this track.

“It’s crazy to think we have only taken two points from the last four games, we could have won them all.

“I’m sorry for the guys and the fans today they deserved the win.”

The Granata now face a trip to Genoa next weekend to the face the Rossoblu at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
