Christian Abbiati, AC Milan 2013AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati was disappointed with his team’s display against Chievo.

The experienced player believes some of the recent performances have been inexplicable and wants his teammates to react.

“The first half against Chievo is like the second against Sassuolo: inexplicable,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I can’t explain why, because we were coming from great displays recently.

“We must react, because if it’s true that we go to the Coppa Italia final, that is only on the 21st of May. We have to catch as many teams ahead of us as possible in the league.

“We did really well for two months, I just don’t understand the last two games, I’m hoping there hasn’t been a relaxation: this cannot happen at Milan.

“I’m old, I have a walking stick with me, but I always do my best and luckily Gigio Donnarumma is in good form,” he commented due to the fact he came on to replace the 16-year-old keeper after a nasty injury for the youngster.
