BrocchiAC Milan forward Carlos Bacca has apologised for staring down coach Cristian Brocchi and not shaking the hand of Jeremy Menez when he was substituted against Carpi.

Bacca was hauled off the pitch midway through the draw against Carpi for Menez and was unimpressed by the decision of his coach, who later criticised Bacca’s actions.

“Looking back with a cool head, and after watching it a few times I just want to apologise to the coach and to my teammates, as well as the Milan fans for the gesture I made,” Bacca said on his Instagram page.

“I just thought I could help the team out on the field because as a team we were struggling. Everything is all right now, both with my teammates and with the coach and I’m happy at this club. ”

Milan were unable to win the match following Bacca’s departure eventually drawing 0-0 with the newly promoted side.
