edy rejaAtalanta coach Edy Reja his side deserve to be in Serie A after they secured their survival with a tight win over Chievo.

Reja added he believed this team should have done better after the great start to the season, but concluded everyone should be happy after Marco Borriello’s second half winner.

“This is a well deserved result and I am satisfied by what we achieved,” Reja told Sky Sport.

“I thought we could have been further up the table after the great start to this season.

“Then we had some issues between January and February with the new players coming in, but lately we are in great form and have been playing well.”

Reja was sent off in the final 10 minutes and explained the reason:

“All I did was tell the referee Peparim Hetemaj had been fouling too much,” Reja added. “But he had warned me he would have sent me off had I raised my arm, so I cant complain.

“I am happy at Atalanta and the club will judge my results and we will talk about the future.

“Borriello is in great shape, and is someone who has great qualities when in form. He works hard during the week and has been impressive in games.”
