Two teams who have it all to play for will do battle on Tuesday evening when Bologna host Hellas Verona at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The home side are looking to take some points to have an end of season charge into the top 10 this season, meanwhile the Scaligeri will be desperate to pick up points as a matter of urgency as they face a worrying drop into Serie B.

La Dotta currently find themselves 10th in the table, sharing 36 points with 11th placed Empoli.

Meanwhile, the Scaligeri occupy last place, eight points behind Frosinone with a slim chance of getting out of the relegation zone, the club bracing for life in the Serie B.

Last round of fixtures, Bologna missed a wonderful chance to gain ground, losing 2-0 against Atalanta who sit in 14th. They have not won in their last four games, dropping valuable points at the business end of the Italian domestic competition.

Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni will now be desperate to see his side try to find form and pick up points, in an effort to confirm themselves as finally safe from the drop.

A disappointing 2-1 loss to Carpi saw Verona just fail to create an even tighter gap with 19th placed Frosinone, yet Luigi Delneri’s men will undoubtedly be keen to show that all is not lost at the bottom of the pile. Although mathematically still in with a chance of survival, Verona are now fighting for pride have only won two matches all season.

The reverse fixture back in November saw Bologna emerge as 2-0 victors, with Emanuele Giaccherini and Godfred Donsah finding their side a goal each in the first half.

Bologna will be forced to make do without Daniele Gastaldello this time around as he is forced to sit out the match after picking up one too many yellow cards this season.

Meanwhile, Verona look set to line up with roughly the same team that lost 2-0 against Atalanta the previous round, with no fresh injury concerns at this time.
