CastoriCarpi coach Fabrizio Castori was left disheartened at his side’s 1-0 defeat away to Chievo.

Sergio Pellissier’s goal from a late corner kick has kept the Biancorossi level on points with Palermo, only above the relegation line courtesy of a superior goal difference and Castori is disappointed that the team failed to gain any further ground.

“We missed a great opportunity today to make some space for ourselves,” the 61-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

“It is disappointing to lose because we managed the match well and responded to falling behind.

“We were not at our best today but a draw would have been the fairer result and the single point would have been significant for us in the standings.

“We will get some rest before preparing for another important match against Genoa.”
