Carpi coach Fabrizio Castori has lamented his team’s mistakes after they lost 3-1 to Sassuolo on Saturday evening.
The result deals a harsh blow to the Biancorossi’s survival hopes as they now sit level on points with 18th place Palermo who have a game in hand. Castori was though keen to praise his opposition.
“Sassuolo are a great team with good players and a great coach in [Eusebio] Di Francesco,” Castori told Sky Sport Italia.
“However, despite their good performance we made a lot of mistakes and when you make mistakes against a team like Sassuolo you pay for them.
“It was not a good performance, we had some injuries but we can still do better. We have a lot of work to do this week.
“We lost today but we will give our all to make sure we survive relegation this season. ”
