Chelsea appoint Conte as new first team head coach

antonio conte italyChelsea have finally confirmed Antonio Conte as their new first team head coach for next season.

There has been considerable speculation regarding the connection between two parties in previous months, however, the London outfit have now confirmed that Conte has signed a three-year contract with the club.

The official Chelsea website have confirmed that Conte will take the Chelsea reins following the European Championships this summer, and will replace the outgoing tactician, Guus Hiddink.

Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia has already revealed her delighted having prematurely appointed the former Juventus boss, adding that he is one of the most talented tacticians in the world of football.

“We are very pleased to have recruited one of the most highly regarded managers in world football and we are equally pleased to do so before the end of the current season,” said Granovskaia to the official Chelsea website.  “This aids our future planning.”

During his time with the Bianconeri, the 46-year-old secured three Serie A titles and two Supercoppa Italianas.
