Roma‘s Radja Nainggolan could be on the brink of making a lucrative switch to the Premier League, as it has been reported that Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement to sign the player.
Having courted the Belgium international for a significant period of time, it was though that Antonio Conte’s side could advance their transfer efforts come the summer, however it now seems that the move could be finalised sooner than expected.
The Daily Mirror have reported that a €36 million deal has been agreed between the two parties, from which Nainggolan will also sign an individual five-year contract.
It was previously claimed by Il Corriere dello Sport that the Giallorossi would hold out for at least €45m for their in-demand midfielder, however it now seems that the club hierarchy are willing to sell for a lesser fee.
Since joining Roma from Cagliari in 2014, the 27-year-old has made 84 Serie A appearances for the Lupi, scoring 12 domestic league goals in the process.
