Palermo.

Alberto Gilardino and Aleksandar Trajkovski got the goals in a game that saw Frosinone dominate much of the possession.

“I’m sorry for what happened in this game, but I have to thank the players who gave everything,” Stellone told Sky Sport Italia.

“This result may appear to have condemned us to relegation, but mathematically we can still survive and we will try.”

The Canarini were without Raman Chibsah and Arlind Ajeti, who were both serving lengthy match suspensions.

“It is a heavy defeat, we can’t deny that, we had a much better second half but they scored at a critical moment.

“[Stefano] Sorrentino had a very good game and it was very difficult for us,” Stellone concluded his interview.

Frosinone are now two points behind Carpi and Palermo, with just Hellas Verona behind them in Serie A.
