Inter captain Mauro Icardi has called on his teammates to challenge Roma in Serie A, as the race for the final Champions League berth begins to hot up.
Icardi was decisive in his side’s 2-0 victory over Napoli at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza as he scored a goal, as well as assisted one for his team mate Marcelo Brozovic and he has also commented on his team’s recent upturn in performances.
”I don’t know if this was Inter’s best performance of the season but we are a team that fights until the death,” the Argentine striker told Sky Sport Italia after the game.
”I’ve always said that we had a difficult period in which we conceded goals in the last few minutes but we have to fight in order to achieve great things as we have shown today.
”We have gained three massive points and Roma will definitely think that we are right there behind them and they will feel the pressure.”
