Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi is set to join Juventus, as the Bianconeri plan to exercise their right of first refusal on the talented youngster.
The Italy U21 international was co-owned by the two clubs between 2013 and 2015, at which point the Neroverdi paid €10 million to the reigning champions to bring an end to the co-ownership agreement but included a €25 million buy-back clause in case the Bianconeri maintained their interest.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus will now execute this clause in order to sign Berardi on a permanent basis.
Director General Giuseppe Marotta will then proceed to offer the attacker a contract that will run through the 2021 season.
Serie A rivals AC Milan were also interested in the player as they continue in their search for young Italian talent, but the 21-year-old now looks set to continue being a major thorn in the Rossoneri’s side for years to come.
