As Francesco Totti’s career with Roma is growing increasingly uncertain, Leicester City have now joined the long list of admirers who are keen to obtain his signature.
Following the latest confrontation between Totti and his coach, Luciano Spalletti, it seems that the 39-year-old may well depart the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the Serie A season.
Thus, in correspondence with this possible departure, The Sun have now reported that Leicester could be willing to offer the Italian veteran a year-long contract in the Premier League.
They have since confirmed The Foxes’ interest in the player, and have even claimed that Claudio Ranieri has made initial contact with Totti in regards to a potential switch.
However, the current Premier League leaders may face stiff competition from the MLS, as New York Cosmos are reportedly also vying for his in-demand services.
Roman native, Ranieri, has previously worked with Totti during his previous tenure with the Giallorossi from 2009-2011.
