Harry Kane TottenhamNapoli legend Diego Maradona would like to see Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane at the Stadio San Paolo next season.

Current Partenopei talisman Gonzalo Higuain has been the subject of much transfer speculation and the 1986 World Cup winner believes that the English forward would be the ideal replacement, should Higuain opt to leave for greener pastures.

“Higuain would be a difficult player to replace as he has just scored 30 goals in Serie A but if you ask me who to replace him with, I would say Tottenham’s Harry Kane,” Maradona said.

“Teams will be willing to spend the €94 million necessary to take Higuain so I think Napoli should begin looking for an adequate replacement.”

The 22-year-old England international is currently leading the Premier League scoring race with 24 goals in 35 matches this season.
