Inter in the summer.

Premier League giants Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with moves to the Argentine in recent months, providing stern competition should Roma and Inter make their own interest permanent.

CalcioMercato.it report that the Serie A pair are readying bids of €10 million for the upcoming transfer window.

Calleri is owned by Uruguayan outfit Deportivo Maldonado but is currently on loan in Brazil with Sao Paulo, having previously been on the books of Boca Juniors in Argentina.

With three South American countries already ticked off in his career so far, the 22-year-old is looking increasingly likely to move to Europe before the start of next season.

The uncertain future of Roma striker Edin Dzeko, however, is believed to not play any role in the Lupi’s pursuit of Calleri.
