Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel has said he will wait until after Euro 2016 to decide whether he will seek a move away from Russia.

The Belgian powerhouse has been linked with moves to Juventus and AC Milan over the last two transfer windows and reports suggest both sides remain interested. Roma are also thought to be keen on signing the former Benfica player.

“When I started playing, I never thought of ending up in Russia.” said Witsel in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.

“At the beginning it was not easy but now I have adapted to the team, the city, the people and I feel comfortable.

“I have a contract with Zenit, in the summer there will be the Euros and I will be focused on this, then we’ll see what happens.”

All three Italian giants will certainly monitoring Witsel’s performance at the Euros in France this summer, in preparation for a move after the competition.
