brocchiAC Milan coach Cristian Brocchi has assumed credit for Milan’s performance, despite losing the Coppa Italia final against Juventus.

The Rossoneri dominated for much of the match, but ultimately came out 1-0 losers and it would appear that Brocchi is looking to this display as a saving grace for his Milan career.

“I do not know if this result changes anything about my future but if the team played well today then the merit is also mine,” Brocchi told Rai Sport immediately following the match.

“Surely today we saw my influence on the team, who brought a positive attitude and a desire to win.

“We prepared well and the players did everything that I asked of them so I am proud.

“The boys put in a good performance today so seeing Juventus celebrate leaves us bitter.

“We couldn’t score but I think it is clear that Milan outplayed Juventus tonight.”
