kovacicAC Milan‘s plans to lure Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic could be scuppered should Chinese investors actually acquire the club.

The interested Asian party are reportedly having different ideas on who they want donning the red and black jersey of Milan, as they look to propel the Italian giants back to the very top of European football.

According to Courier Sports, the Rossoneri’s negotiations for the duo have taken a back-seat till further notice, as the potential new owners of the Diavolo decide on the course of action that they want to take.

Ibrahimovic’s well-documented admiration for his former club has led to rampant rumours of his impending return to the Stadio San Siro, while Milan’s midfield issues has caused them to court the services of Kovacic, who has struggled for first team action at Los Blancos.

The Milanese club are currently languishing in seventh place in Serie A, although a win over Juventus in the Coppa Italia final could still see them secure European football next season.
