Alvaro Morata - JuventusAlvaro Morata’s future at Juventus is growing increasingly uncertain, as it has now been revealed that both Arsenal and Chelsea could compete in a summer race to sign him.

It had been previously reported that Real Madrid could trigger their notable buy-back clause in the player, although the Spanish giants could now be defeated by the English competition, who both seem intent on obtaining his in-demand services.

Calciomercato.it have confirmed this latest development, stressing that incoming Blues boss, Antonio Conte, is particularly keen on luring Morata to the Premier League.

The West London outfit have monitored the 23-year-old’s movements for a considerable period of time, although they are now keen to cement their interest in the player, making a significant bid in the forthcoming transfer window.

However, The Sun have also reported that Arsenal have now altered their transfer ambitions for the foreseeable future, and view Morata as an ideal replacement for the recently injured, Danny Welbeck.

The England international was recently ruled out for nine months due to knee problems, and this could now lead to a fresh approach for the Bianconeri forward.

In terms of Juventus’ plans should they actually lose their striker, they could make an immediate assault upon Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi, who is also a target for West Ham United and Atletico Madrid.
