PavolettiTwo sides destined for mid-table finishes will do battle on Sunday evening when Genoa welcome Atalanta to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The Rossoblu are currently sitting in 10th place, while La Dea find themselves in the 13th position, with four points separating the two teams in this final round of Serie A action.

The Rossoblu have improved their form throughout the season and are now fighting against Torino for the 10th spot, having won six of their past 10 games, most recently a 3-0 thumping of city rivals Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna last weekend.

On the other side, Atalanta have been highly inconsistent this campaign. A victory this round could see them move up only one spot, depending on the Empoli result but can slide down as far as 16th. La Dea have only won three of their last 11 matches, most recently drawing 1-1 with Udinese.

The two sides last met in early January at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia, with Genoa coming out 2-0 victors. In the past three games between the two sides, Atalanta have failed to collect a victory.

Edoardo Reja will be without centre-forward Mauricio Pinilla due to an adductor problem, joining Carlos Carmona, Davide Bassi, Rafael Toloi, Gabriel Paletta and Guglielmo Stendardo on the treatment table. Alejandro Gomez is suspended due to his dismissal last weekend.
