Juventus have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Chelsea’s Oscar, after the midfielder revealed that he does want to leave the Premier League.
Having pursued the Brazil international for a significant period of time, it was previously expected that the Bianconeri could aim to entice Oscar to Serie A come the summer, however it now seems that the 24-year-old will do his utmost to remain in England.
“I want to remain in London,” said Oscar to Sportmediaset. “We are all happy with the appointment of the new coach and I want to demonstrate my worth.”
The talented Trequartista has specified the recent appointment of Antonio Conte as a key factor in remaining at the club, claiming that the entire squad are determined to impress the current Azzurri boss.
“The new coach will bring a breath of fresh air and everyone knows that they now have to prove their worth to the team,” he added. “This year I was not happy because I played very little, but as it with Conte, next year will serve as a new start for me.”
