Premier League side Liverpool are reportedly considering a bid for Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain during the summer transfer window.
The Reds are allegedly on the lookout for a star signing during the summer and the Argentinian striker could be the choice to add consistent goal-scoring to their line-up.
According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to accept offers in the region of €40 million for Christian Benteke in order to acquire funds to use in the signing of Higuain.
The Azzurri star is reportedly bound to Napoli by a contract in which an approximate €90 million buy-out clause has been inserted.
Higuain is on the target list of several other European clubs, including Premier League Reds’ rivals Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 28-year-old former Real Madrid striker has shown a stunning form throughout his Serie A campaign, scoring 36 goals in his 35 appearances.
