Napoli to second place and a record breaking season, Maurizio Sarri is set to be given a contract extension by the Serie A side.

Napoli were winter champions this season and secured automatic Champions League football, now it looks set that their coach will commit his future to the club.

A meeting between the club and Sarri will take place in the coming days, with reports suggesting that the coach will request a three-year deal worth €2 million per season plus added bonuses based on results and performances.

Currently, Napoli have the option to renew Sarri’s deal on May 31 every year for the next four years, but this structure could be re-worked should a new deal by agreed.

Sarri could not only have a bumper contract but also, given the club’s participation in the Champions League, the former Empoli coach will have significant funds to strengthen the squad.
