Palermo coach Davide Ballardini has praised his squad approached their match against Sampdoria with the right attitude, as they went on to record a 2-0 victory.
Although he thought the Blucerchiati made the game difficult for his team, the Rosanero tactician praised his players for the mindset that they applied during the match.
“Palermo played well in a difficult game and against a great team like Sampdoria,” Ballardini told Sky Sport Italia. “We were attentive and we had the right attitude.
Veteran midfielder Enzo Maresca was praised for his play in the Palermo midfield but Ballardini was impressed with his squad in general after the win.
“He is a rare player in terms of quality and for the way he reads the play,” Balladini added. “However, we also have other players who are very capable of playing well.
“I would say that everyone deserves credit, even those who have played less. We must carry on like this.”
