di francesco sassuoloSassuolo boss Eusebio Di Francesco was delighted with his side’s 1-0 victory at home to already relegated Hellas Verona.

Lorenzo Pellegrini’s second goal of the season just before the hour mark secured the win for the hosts in what was a game devoid of quality.

”Usually we are here talking about good performances that yield only few rewards,” Di Francesco told Rai Sport after the game.

“We were definitely not at our best today but the most important thing was the result and we got exactly what we wanted.

“Nothing has been decided today. We have two tough games and we will see how we do in comparison to AC Milan.”

Sassuolo now lie in sixth position having overtaken AC Milan and two victories from their last two games will guarantee them a spot in the Europa League qualification round next season, should the Rossoneri fail to beat Juventus in the Coppa Italia final.
