Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa has stated that he wants to see an improvement from his side next season but reiterated it had been a positive season for his side.
The Viola ended their first season under the guidance of the Portuguese boss with a thumping 4-2 win away to Lazio. Senad Lulic put the hosts ahead put a brace from Matias Vecino and goals from Federico Bernardeschi and Cristian Tello put the visitors in control before Miroslav Klose scored on his farewell appearance for Lazio.
”The season has been very positive, a lot of players developed,” Sousa told Sky Sport Italia after the game.
“There is, however, a lot to be improved upon in order to compete against the big teams in the league because we were not consistent enough in the second half of the season.”
Fiorentina end the season in fifth place with 64 points and the fourth highest number of goals scored.
