Juventus this summer then Simone Zaza will need to head the other way.

Juventus have been keen to close a deal for the Portugal midfielder but have faced a stumbling block in recent weeks, and now the Spanish outfit are asking for another player to make part of the deal.

According to Tuttosport, Zaza has been specifically requested by Valencia in return for relinquishing control of Gomes.

Zaza only joined the Bianconeri last summer from Sassuolo but could be on the move already, having scored eight goals in all competitions for the Serie A champions.

Miralem Pjanic has also been a target for the Old Lady as they look to pack out their midfield, although they have apparently baulked at the Bosnian’s release clause at Roma and decided to pursue other targets.

Manchester United are also in the hunt for Gomes and promise to make it a close race for his signature.
