The Frenchman joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2014 on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. He impressed in his first season, scoring on his Serie A debut and ending the season as the club’s top goalscorer with 16 goals in 33 Serie A appearances.
“He [Menez] is a Milan player, and he has one year of his contract left. But I think he will leave,” declared the player’s agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes, to French radio station Europe1.
“Menez will leave this summer. We’ll have to see which offers are available.”
The 29-year-old previously played for French champions PSG, and although a return to the capital side appears unlikely, his agent has still left the door open for a possible return to his home country.
“Ligue 1? Why not?” he continued.
Menez has had a season to forget, as he missed the entire first half of the campaign due to a hip injury.
He made 12 appearances in all competitions for Milan, netting four goals in total.
