Alberto Paloschi has ended his short stay with Swansea in the Premier League as he completed a return to hometown club Atalanta on Friday.

Despite only joining the Wales-based club in January, the Bergamo native has returned to Serie A having failed to settle in Francesco Guidolin’s side.

Paloschi’s return to Italy was confirmed by the Bergamaschi on their official website on Friday morning.

Despite originally residing from Bergamo, the AC Milan academy graduate has never been on the books at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia before, having played for Parma, Genoa and Chievo in Serie A.

In 10 Premier League appearances for the Swans last season, Paloschi found the net just twice. However, before departing Chievo, the Italian scored 45 goals and provided 11 assists in 153 appearances.
