Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has earned praise from Real Madrid striker and French teammate Karim Benzema, who believes that the 23-year-old is a great player.
The former Manchester United player has come of age since arriving in Turin in 2012 and in light of the rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid, his compatriot has said that Pogba can become a great player despite the depth present in the Los Blancos midfield.
“He is a great player,” Benzema told Marca. “He has done excellent things at Juve but at Real it is another matter altogether.
“He is still an excellent player though. At Madrid there are great players and he should face great competition in midfield but it is normal.
“It would not be easy but he can be one of the greats, I am sure of it.”
Pogba has been selected to represent France at the 2016 European Championship whereas Benzema did not make the final cut.
