Benatia_BayernJuventus are reportedly targeting Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia as the reigning Italian champions seek defensive reinforcements.

Benatia’s time in Germany has been far from smooth with the former Roma player failing to nail down a starting spot in the team while also having to deal with persistent injuries.

As reported by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Turin giants want a loan deal with an option to buy for the 29-year-old due to his injury-prone nature.

Juve are willing to shell out no more than €20 million for the Moroccan international and should the deal cost more, the Bianconeri are looking towards Valencia’s Shkodran Mustafi as an alternative solution.

Benatia arrived at the Allianz Arena in 2014 after a controversial departure from Roma, and has since picked up two Bundesliga titles and one DFB-Pokal cup with the German giants.
