Nainggolan, who joined the Lupi in 2014, having impressed in Italy already with Cagliari, has been identified as a transfer target by soon-to-be Blues boss Conte.
“Conte and I talked,” Nainggolan told Belgian reporters. “He wanted me to join Juventus in the past, but I told him that I would never go there.
“Now he is trying to convince me to go to Chelsea. We had a chat and he is an intriguing person. We’ll see whether I stay at Roma”
The 28-year-old’s international teammates, Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard currently play at Stamford Bridge, and the midfielder admits they have been trying to lure him to London.
“[Thibaut] Courtois and [Eden] Hazard are trying to convince me to go to London with them,” he added. “We’ll see what happens. Conte is a good coach, and we saw that at Siena and Juventus where he won consistently.
“He told me what he expects of me and what kind of player I can be for him. It is important to know that a coach wants you so much.”
