witselZenit Saint Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel is reportedly open to a move away from Russia amidst speculation that Roma are looking to bring him to Italy.

The central midfielder is currently at Euro 2016 with Belgium, and despite failing to make an impact in the 2-0 defeat to Italy, it is believed that the Giallorossi see him as the perfect replacement for Miralem Pjanic, who has completed his transfer to Juventus.

It is claimed that the Belgian is keen on a move away from Russia as he wants a change of scenery, with his club reportedly asking for €20 million, according to Calcio News 24.

The 27-year-old has regularly been linked with AC Milan, who have had the player on their radar for quite some time now.

With the player’s deal set to expire in 2017, Zenit are believed to be keen on accepting an offer slightly below €20m to avoid losing the player on a free transfer next summer.

Witsel featured in 41 games last season, scoring six goals and providing five assists for Zenit.
