AC Milan back line.

The Rossoneri had previously looked at several Spanish La Liga clubs for a player to partner Alessio Romagnoli in their defence, with Arbeloa being a possible option.

As reported by GazzaMercato, they appear to have finalised a deal with the 33-year-old free agent to bring him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in a one-year contract.

The Spaniard left Los Blancos at the end of last season but didn’t announce retirement or a next destination, making him a free transfer for the Rossoneri.

He won two European Championships and the World Cup for his national side between 2008 and 2012, as well as two Champions Leagues and one La Liga title for Real Madrid.
