AC Milan have moved a step closer to signing Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski after vice-president Adriano Galliani met with the club.

Zielinski joined the Zebrette in 2012 but spent the last two seasons on loan at Empoli and scored on his debut for the Azzurri, grabbing a further four goals in 66 appearances over the course of the two years.

According to milannews.it, Galliani and Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo met in Ibiza recently to discuss the terms of a possible transfer, with the Rossoneri reportedly needing to spend at least €15 million to secure Zielinski’s services.

The Diavolo face competition for the 22-year-old’s signature with both Liverpool and Napoli recently expressing their interest in the player, however Galliani decided to meet the main man at the Stadio Friuli to get a step ahead.
