AC Milan will only receive around €20 million to spend this summer in the transfer market.

Silvio Berlusconi is reported to be about to sell 80 per cent of the Rossoneri to a Chinese consortium, with the extra 20 per cent to be sold at a later date, however the money the club would receive, around €100 million, could be delayed.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the financial impact of the sale would only kick in in September, after the summer transfer window closes, meaning the Diavolo would only have €20m to spend before the season starts.

That doesn’t include the purchase of Gianluca Lapadula, however, who costs €10m, meaning Adriano Galliani and new coach Vincenzo Montella would be left with just €10m to rebuild their squad for the oncoming campaign.

Things could be made better by Berlusconi himself, as there is the possible opportunity for him to invest some of his money into the club for transfers, however it remains to be seen whether that will take place.
