Antonio CandrevaRecently appointed AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella has targeted Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva as a possible signing during the current transfer window.

The 42-year-old former Sampdoria boss has added the Italy international to a list of players submitted to the Rossoneri hierarchy and is hoping to secure his signature ahead of cross-city rivals Inter and Napoli.

According to CalcioMercato, the 29-year-old attacking midfielder has been made available by Biancocelesti club president Claudio Lotito for a fee in the region of €25 million.

While the Diavolo are willing to meet Lotito’s asking price, club officials are hoping to conclude a deal for €22M plus €3M in added bonuses. Candreva made 30 Serie A appearances for the capital club last season, scoring ten goals.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have agreed terms with the player, but the two clubs have been unable to agree a fee.
