Inter defender Davide Santon is eager to return to the English Premier League.
The 25-year-old appeared in a Newcastle United shirt between 2011 and 2015 before being loaned out for a second spell at Inter, after his three-year stint there before moving to England, and then he rejoined the Nerazzurri on a permanent basis in 2015.
According to GazzaMercato, Santon is craving a return to English football and Crystal Palace areĀ attemptingĀ to secure the Italian’s services, with a bid to be launched over the next couple of days.
Palace may face competition from a Serie A side for the Inter man’s signature, however, as Sampdoria have been discussing Santon recently, however a move to the Premier League looks more likely.
He first played for Inter between 2008 and 2011 and won just about all possible accolades, including two Scudetti, a Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
Santon subsequently had a brief spell at Cesena before moving to Newcastle, then returned to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza but the club could not repeat their domination on the domestic and European stage.
