koulibaly napoliEverton and Napoli are set to meet over the potential transfer of defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who is also being pursued by Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

The Azzurri central defender has been repeatedly rumoured to be on his way out of the Stadio San Paolo during the first part of the current transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Partenopei sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is set to meet with Everton officials to discuss a deal for the defender.

The Toffees’ offer is allegedly going to be in the region of €40 million. However, rumours indicate that Napoli’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is looking for a fee closer to €60m.

Everton are looking into the defender as a possible substitute for starlet John Stones, who could leave for Manchester City.

Koulibaly accumulated 33 Serie A appearances during his last season with the Azzurri.
