Roberto Mancini has been linked with the England job as another poor Euro 2016 campaign led to Roy Hodgson leaving the side.

The Three Lions were defeated by Iceland in the second round and soon after the final whistle 68-year-old Hodgson handed in his resignation.

Several names have been mentioned as to who could replace him, however The Guardian reports that current Inter coach Roberto Mancini is a candidate who could take his place on the England bench sometime soon.

Other names floating around are Sam Allardyce, Jurgen Klinsmann and Roberto Martinez.

A move back to England for Mancini is a possibility after his successful four-year stint at Manchester City where he won the Premier League and the FA Cup.

The 51-year-old then spent a year in Turkey with Galatasaray before returning to Inter for a second spell in 2014.

He won Serie A three times with the Nerazzurri during his first spell between 2004 and 2008, however there has been no such luck for the Italian over the past two years.
