Inter are nearing a deal for Sporting Clube de Portugal midfielder Joao Mario as they prepare to accept a higher payment for him.

The Euro 2016 winner has been linked with a move to Italy all summer and now a deal looks set to be finalised now that the Nerazzurri have given in with regards to Sporting’s money demands.

The Serie A side had previously refused to budge from €35 million for the 23-year-old, however reports from GazzaMercato suggest they will now accept the Portuguese club’s demands of €50m.

Mario will be indirectly purchased by Chinese club Jiangsu Suning and play at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on loan.

GazzaMercato also suggests that, with the signing of Mario almost complete, Roberto Mancini and the rest of the Inter management are now turning their attention towards 19-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.

However, the Biscione will have to wait until January to bring in the forward, who has scored 19 goals in 38 games so far for Palmeiras.
