Juventus could bring in Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic as a potential backup.

There have been numerous reports over the past few weeks speculating where Pogba may play next season, and with the transfer saga likely to last until the summer window closes, Juventus are looking for stability for next year.

Reports from ESPN suggest that the Bianconeri could therefore sign Chelsea’s Matic to take the place of Pogba should he depart, or just for an extra man in the middle of the park.

The reports also claim that Juventus would be prepared to offer €20 million for the 27-year-old Serbian international, who looks likely to be surplus to requirements in Antonio Conte’s Blues squad following the arrival of N’Golo Kante from Leicester City.

Matic moved to London in 2014, for a second spell after a two-year stint earlier on in his career, and has since appeared 111 times in all competitions, as well as winning the Premier League and the Football League Cup.
