A transfer to Juventus for Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain could be completed very soon after all, as the striker has completed a medical.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis previously said that there was no deal in place for the Argentine international to leave the side, and it was expected that the Bianconeri had since given up on their chase.
New reports from Sky Sport Italia suggest, however, that a medical examination took place in secret in Spain on Friday, where Higuain met with Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici.
There is reportedly already a deal in place between Juventus and the player himself, as he looks set to sign a four-year contract worth €7.5 million per year.
Negotiations between La Vecchia Signora and the Partenopei management had looked to be stalling, however it is likely now that the Serie A champions will meet the release clause in Higuain’s contract to secure a deal.
