Inter striker and captain Mauro Icardi has been subject to transfer interest from both Napoli and Juventus, according to the player’s wife.
Wanda Nara has been engaged in a public dispute with Inter sporting directer Piero Ausilio after claiming her husband was being forced out of the club, and has stated that the 23-year-old is wanted by last season’s top two.
“Juventus and Napoli are both interested in him [Icardi],” Nara told Tele Lombardia. “He really was put up for sale by the club, and he turned down several sides.
“He turned down offers from Champions League clubs due to his love for Inter. For me, someone’s word is everything.
“I expect the club to stick to their word as for Mauro, there is Inter and then everyone else.”
Nara’s latest comments have left many Biscione supporters frustrated, with some even calling for Icardi to be removed from his role of club captain.
