Palermo attacking midfielder Franco Vazquez is on the verge of leaving the Serie A club and moving to Spanish club Sevilla.

The Rosanero had previously rejected an approach made by AC Milan for the 27-year-old this summer as they demanded more money for their star man, but now president Maurizio Zamparini appears to be ready to let him go, although still not for his requested amount.

According to Premium Sport, the Sicilians have reached an agreement with La Liga side Sevila to sell Vazquez for €13 million, with an extra €2m in bonuses on the condition that the player reaches certain targets related to appearances and performance.

Vazquez will sign a five-year contract that sees him earn around €2m per season.

The Argentine-born Italy international moved to Serie A in 2012 from Argentine Primera Division side Belgrano and has since been called up to the Azzurri squad.

He appeared 38 times in all competitions last season for Palermo and scored eight goals, assisting six others.
