The French international had looked certain to be joining Manchester United recently after the Red Devils pulled out all the stops to secure his signature, however Raiola now claims Pogba will remain in Italy for the foreseeable future.

“Juventus do not want to deprive themselves of Pogba, they say that he will remain for a long time and we have recently discussed a contract renewal,” Raiola told Sky Sport Italia.

“Only if he wants to go away will he leave, there are twists and turns but the market closes in September and I will not exclude anything, neither a sale nor a renewal.”

Despite heavy speculation suggesting a transfer to Manchester for the 23-year-old was inevitable, the situation has been changing since Raiola gave the sale the go ahead.

Juventus have rejected a huge €132 million offer for their midfielder and there have been further comments from Raiola that the Serie A champions are in no rush to complete a sale.

It remains unclear where Pogba will play in the future, however it is certain that the Frenchman will dominate the transfer market this summer.
