AC Milan target Mateo Musacchio will not be moving to the Rossoneri after all as negotiations between both parties collapsed.
Milan were after the services of the 25-year-old Argentine international for a long while and, after initial stalls over costs, it seemed highly possible that the Stadio Meazza would welcome Musacchio for the oncoming season, however his agent, Marcello Lombilla, has announced a transfer will not take place.
“Negotiations for the transfer of Musacchio to Milan have totally broken down,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani had hoped to secure a loan deal for the defender, amid the uncertainty surrounding Milan’s transfer funds as a result of the current Chinese takeover of the club.
The Diavolo will need to look elsewhere for reinforcements as they look to secure European qualification next season for the first time since 2013.
