Silvio Berlusconi AC MilanMonths of negotiations have finally reached a conclusion, with Silvio Berlusconi selling almost 100 per cent of AC Milan to a Chinese consortium.

Talks appeared to have stalled recently but picked up pace once again and they have finally reached a finish, putting an end to Berlusconi’s 30-year-reign at the top of Milan.

As announced by gazzetta.it, Berlusconi has sold 99.93% of the club to a Chinese consortium not linked to expected investors Nicholas Gancikoff and Sal Galatioto, but to a new group managed by Li Yonghong, in a deal worth €740 million.

It is unknown yet whether money will become dispensable for the Rossoneri before the transfer window closes, however the timing of the sale makes it unlikely.

Final signatures will be exchanged within the coming hours but all the official movements have taken place to complete the hand-over of the club.

Berlusconi won 28 trophies with Milan during his 30 years at the top.
